Supporting families with newborn babies
"It takes a village to rise a child" African proverb
How can I help?
Each family is unique and different, as a postnatal doula I aim to provide companionship to tailor my support for your needs.
Part of my role as a postnatal doula may include emotional support to help build your confidence, encouraging you to trust your decisions. I would be delighted to take care of you; so that you can totally recover from the birth and feel stronger to take care of your new baby. Whatever your birth experience has been I will be there to listen to you and your needs and wishes.
Another part of my role may be to offer you practical support which may include breastfeeding or bottle feeding support. I am happy to look after your baby and/or older children while you have a shower or a bit of a rest. I aim to provide support to the partner too in a way that the whole family can thrive.
I am willing to support you regardless of your situation and life choices, as a family, as a single mother, LGBT,
following a religion or with a particular belief system.
Although I am not a chef I am able to cook nourishing meals and also I am happy to do light house hold duties.
I am passionate about helping families to adjust to this transition moment in their lives.
Ultimately, I will aim to leave you rested and confident.
Where to Start ?
I offer a free consultation and I would be delighted to meet you (call/video call/in person), so we can discuss how could I support you in this amazing time in your lives. It is important that we meet so we can see if that's what are you looking for and also if we feel comfortable with each other etc. I always encourage you to meet other postnatal doulas to make sure you choose the right one for you and your family.
